Problem for Consumer:-
Price: price of organic products is more expensive than those with chemicals, most consumers choose the lower price which contain chemicals and therefore they consumer the chemical products leading to a problem here.
Health: Since consumers consume chemical products, this leads to various risks of health such as skin cancer.
Lack of knowledge : Some consumers dont have knowledge on the impact of certain chemicals listed on the product, so they consume those products without knowing the effects. For example, there mayb a 0.5% of certain chemicals and they think that it is very little so they dont mind and consume them.
Problem for CEO: The chemicals in the cosmetics are small enough to be harmful. The reason why the products are still on the shelf is they meet the standard made by government.
Organic plants raw materials cost much more than chemicals and if do so it is still hard to guarantee the whole supply chain is sustainable.
Problems for Suppliers-loopholes in the regulatory framework-cosmetics firms can employ any component or raw material in their products unescorted by government approval-no required safety testing, no monitoring of the manufacturing process and inadequate labeling requirements for suppliers, manufacturing partners, contractors, companies supplying raw materials Problem for NGOs:3 main/most dangerous chemicals in cosmetics: Parabens Can be absorbed easily through the skin and are potential endocrine disruptors due to their ability to mimic estrogen. Parabens should be eliminated because they have been found in breast tumours. Phthalates cause liver malfunction and lower testosterone levels. It is difficult for consumers to avoid phthalates because under the current law, it can be labelled fragrance even though it may make up 20% or more of the product.Lead Lead is an unintended contaminant and cannot be found on labels.
